The University of North Carolina at Greensboro welcomes your candidacy for merit scholarships. Please read the instructions and scholarship information before completing the application. The Dean’s Scholars Program, a component of the Merit Awards Program, offers incoming first-year students four-year renewable scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $3,000. This program emphasizes academic achievement and is available to students in specific majors, such as Nursing, Education, Chemistry, Religious Studies, majors within the Bryan School of Business & Economics, and majors within the School of Human Environmental Science. Dean’s Scholars awards are renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study, as long as the student maintains a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 and remains in good academic standing with the University. To apply, current high school seniors must complete a Merit Awards Program application. The minimum criteria for applicants are: a minimum 1600 SAT or 24 ACT, and a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.5. The individual scholarships in the Dean’s Scholars Program are listed in the academic departments that offer them and within the scholarship listing for the Merit Awards Program.
